The print room is well equipped for all forms of printmaking and there are a number of rare and beautiful presses.A recent refurbishment of the print room included new lighting, heating and bench space, as well as the installation of a fully vented fume cupboard. The printmakers and teaching artists are affiliated with the Sydney Printmakers and Print Circle as well as open access workshops overseas.

Robert Ives: The course Robert Ives has been developing and teaching for the last nine years enables the student printmaker to find a personalised way of working and to develop their own expression within the medium.

Many artists during their careers spend time exploring printmaking. Whether you are a total beginner or experienced artist this class will help you find new forms of expression through linocuts, woodcuts, etchings and monoprints. A full range of techniques is taught, enabling the artist student to apply them in a creative and individual way.

This course is structured to teach both beginners and advanced students. Traditional intaglio zinc plate etching using aquatints, sugarlifts, hard & soft ground methods are taught. This course includes dry point, monoprint and solar plate techniques to produce multi colour prints.

Mieke Cohen: Mieke Cohen has studied at the National Art School. She regularly exhibits with the Sydney Printmakers and Print Circle. She was artist in residence in Venice at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica. Mieke is represented in many corporate and private collections, including Parliament House Canberra, NSW House London, and the Mitchell Library, NSW.
